Hmm... I was just reading this article and I was thinking that, wow, talk about a bad time to strike up more commotion for the 'US Military Base in Okinawa' conflict...talk about a prickly issue with North Korea so close by. I imagine this will be an awfully frustrating problem for Japan's new party and for Obama, considering the two countries only met just recently about this issue -- without accomplishing much.

harper, that's the last thing anyone in the us is talking about right now. currently it's conservatives going crazy over obama bowing to emperor akihito and liberals getting worked up about conservatives getting worked up about it.
